Hello from Zürich, CH - Spitfire mk2

Dear all,

I just joined today. Im 29, female, live in Zürich, Schweiz. Since april 2009, im the proud owner of a Triumph Spitfire MK2, white (1966) after wanting one since 1998. Im originally from Holland, im a member of Triumph Spitfire Club Holland, but also recently joined Spitfire Club Schweiz. The car is originally Dutch, where it was fully rebuild and restored which ended in 2008. It is fully original up to the smallest details, except for the colour (used to be signal red) and the mk3 gearbox. The car is now officially on the road again since 1977, after being in an accident which damaged the rear of the car. It had been in boxes since then, until the previous owner rebuild it (nut and bolt restoration). I imported the car this year, and since then it had additional repairs done by Garage Messmer. It is now in permanent service there. Its now home finally and very happy with it!

welcome, ... so your spitfire is as original as mine accident, different Gearbox, different color, ... but I think my one is much more "rusty"

you have a brilliant locking MK 2!
fine is the spitfire on the road again and i think you will have a lot of fun with your car
i drive my MK3 1970 since spring and 8'200km later without troubles
im really happy we had a lot of great moments
